Ljubljana Jazz Festival is one of the oldest European jazz festivals with a great tradition. The list of great artists performing on one of its stages is long and include such musicians as Curtis Jones, Elvin Jones, Stan Getz, Johnny Griffin, Pharoah Sanders, Sun Ra, Gilberto Gil, Miles Davis, Marc Ribot, Pat Metheny, Ornette Coleman, Charlie Haden and Roberto Fonseca while also giving a place to young bands.
