Villages of Joal and Fadiouth on Senegalese Petite Côte are known for their tranquillity, beautiful scenery and religious tolerance. Fadiout is situated on an island made from oyster and clam shells and is pedestrian only. It is home to some of more interesting characters, chatty and friendly people and sports a shared Muslim and Christian cemetery.
