The Niger river is the lifeblood winding and twisting trough dry landscape of Mali. Feeding people and livestock, making life possible in those arid parts of the country for centuries. Bozo fishermen, Peul/Fulani herdsmen and many others have built their lives around it, making the river the core of their livelihood.
