Trieste is a port city in the north-eastern Italy sitting on the border with Slovenia. As such it has strong Slovenian minority and has been forth biggest city in Austro-Hungarian Empire. There is plenty of the old grandeur still to be seen, especially the imposing buildings and monuments and promenades. But maybe even more interesting is observing residents enjoy the “Dolce vita” the Trieste way.
